Short version: the Pausr app runs entirely on your Mac and this website collects as little as technically possible. Here is the honest, complete list.
What the app does NOT collect
Pausr has no account system, no server and no analytics. Your statistics, settings and history are stored as local files on your Mac and never uploaded anywhere. Pausr never reads or records your screen content, your camera or your microphone. Your stats cover the apps on your Mac, never the websites you visit, so nothing about your browsing is measured or sent anywhere. No personal data, no browsing history, no identifiers.
What this website collects
One tool, and only to count visits, never to profile you: Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager for a view of traffic and where it comes from. It sets cookies and only ever loads if you accept it in the cookie banner. Decline it, or simply ignore the banner, and no analytics run at all: not a single request leaves for Google.
Error monitoring
To catch bugs on this website, technical error reports are sent to Sentry, our monitoring provider. They are diagnostic only, with no cookies, no tracking and no advertising. Before a report leaves your browser we strip whatever could identify you: your IP address is never recorded, and request bodies, cookies and the sensitive parts of a URL (an email, a payment session id) are redacted. There is no performance tracing and no session replay.
Cookies and consent
The only non-essential cookies on this site come from Google Analytics, and only once you have accepted them. You can change your mind at any time through the "Cookies" link in the footer. The only other cookie is strictly necessary, such as the one remembering your language: it carries no advertising or cross-site identifier and therefore needs no consent.
When you buy Pausr
Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. We receive your email address from Stripe in order to send your download link and receipt via Resend, our email provider. We do not add you to any marketing list.
When you ask for the download link by email
Your email address is used once, to send you the link, and is not stored in a marketing database.
When you join the Windows waitlist
If you leave your email to be told when the Windows version ships, we keep that address with Resend, our email provider, for one purpose only: notifying you at launch. We do not use it for anything else, and you can ask us to remove it at any time by writing to support@pausr.io.
